A parody is a kind humorous imitation of something. It could be a film, famous person, a book...anything. Recently many parodies have been made, and they have become very famous. Nowadays, almost all films and musical videos have a parody. For example, here you have a parody of the blockbuster Catching Fire, the second part of the well-known film series "The Hunger Games".
I found this video really amusing. Although it is very simple, it makes you laugh, or at least smile. Sometimes the simplest things are the funniest.
I think that it is funny and entertaining to watch parodies, because sometimes the imitation is so good that you never forget the film, video or whatever the parody was about. It is said that sometimes the parody is more popular than what is being parodied. Many people get annoyed because of this. They say that the parodies decrease the parodied things reputation. But in my opinion, this is better than nothing. As is said many times, it is better to be talked badly about something than not at all, isn't it?
Good choice of video: I love how Peeta is just as useless as a pitta bread as in the original film. I like parodies too, such as 'Blue Harvest'.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the good thing about parodies is that they make you laugh and spend a very good time. Nowadays, parodies are very common and some of them became very famous. Last day I saw one and it was very funny, it was a song and they imitate the singer very well with all the details. To finish, I want to say that if you are sad, see a parody because it will make you laugh.

ReplyDeleteNowadays , there are a lot of parodies about different things, such as one of the Wrecking Wall about Whatsapp, some films like the one that Jaione has update. You can laugh a lot with them and if you do one, surely you will have fun with your friends.

ReplyDeleteNaroa, yes, that's a good point. Parodies can be an easy way to make humour, rather than truly original content, and they can be at the expense of someone who put a lot of effort into their work. However, I think that often the originator doesn't really mind, for example I bet that Jean-Claude Van Damme enjoys the paraodies of his Epic Split advert, since that in itself is really a self-parody.
